I’m the Seed

By Shirley Scurlock © 2019

I’m the seed
I planted there
In a soul you’ve thrown away

I’m the seed
You crushed in them
With the hateful words you say

I am the seed
That dies in them
When you refuse to let them grow

I am the light
That you put out
In a desperate wounded soul

I am the light
You claim to have
While you crush the ones I call

I am the love
That forgave your sins
Please extend that gift to all!
